English motor racing driver Richard Garvie returns to the track following a fourteen month lay-off due to a back injury sustained in a freak accident, although he hasn't neccessarily been resting. Richard is a successful broadcaster and until February 2010 hosted a popular radio morning drive show in South Lincolnshire, England with one in four people living in the region tuning into his show. Not content with radio broadcasting, in February 2010 Richard also stepped in to secure the future of NASCAR TV in the UK & Ireland, which can now be viewed live on Open Access 3 (Sky Channel 190).

Traditionally a road course racing fan, Richard became interested in oval racing in 2001 with the construction of the 1.5 mile Rockingham Speedway in his hometown of Corby, England. He then became involved in stock car racing in 2003 with the creation of his Tallboy Motorsport outfit, initially racing in the European "SCSA" Series which has since ceased to exist.

In his spare time, Richard enjoys cooking, keeping fit, watching movies, socialising and broadcasting on the radio(!).
